FAQ's

*What should I send for snack?

Please send ONE food item and ONE drink for snack. Please label which food should be eaten at snack time vs. lunch time. We have a working snack throughout the day, so the less messy the snack, the better! Please remember that Jefferson is a nut-controlled building.

*How can my child order lunch?

Talk to your child each night about whether they are ordering lunch, as they will be asked each morning what they would like for lunch! If your child will be ordering lunch and you are not paying online, please send the lunch money in a sealed envelope. Please be sure to write your child's name is on the outside of the envelope. Lunch menus can be found on the district website.

*What should I do with the take-home folder?

Please be sure to check, clear and pack your child's take-home folder every day because it is one of our main ways of daily correspondence. Feel free to send notes to school in the folder, as well.

*What is the best way to get in touch with the teacher?

If you need to get in touch with me, please send a note with your child (via the take-home folder) or email me at arodgers@summit.k12.nj.us. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

*What if my child is going home with a friend or a different adult?

If your child is going to be leaving school in a different way than usual, please send me a note via the take-home folder! I must have a signed note from you to allow the change in dismissal. If you choose to email, please send the information the day before the change in dismissal. If it a last minute change, please contact Mrs. Vartan in the front office.
